Wellness in The Philippines
One of the positive things that can be said about the covid epidemic that we have experienced for more than two years of our lives, is that we have learned to recognize and reacquaint ourselves, if it is anew, with the special machine called our body.
Whether it's a light sports activity like a walk in the park to extreme trekking for several days in the mountains, it's a pampering massage or a therapeutic massage, not to mention yoga for its various issues, changing eating habits and mental therapies to a spiritual connection with nature.
The search for destinations and special places for a healthy vacation or a combination of a few even pampering days, yes it is allowed to say that too, as part of the experiential trip, recently brought me to the Philippines.
The country with over 7,700 islands, some of the best in the world, is mainly associated with beaches and special diving sites leading in the world as well as with a variety of cultures and spectacular landscapes. But is it also with a healthy culture?
So yes, the Philippines has something to offer in this area as well. About two and a half hours' drive south of Manila, the capital, towards the city of Lipa in the province of Batangas, at the foot of the Taal volcano, lays "The Farm in San Benito".

As you get closer to the place, you start to feel the uniqueness with the drive between a verdant forest and mango groves. Upon arrival at the place, you meet some of the famous peacocks of the place that roam freely, in the morning they even call out with their voices, look for the white one among them.
The farm is a medically supervised holistic health center, it should be noted, which can provide an answer to any of the common problems of our lifestyle. It is important to emphasize, there is no obligation to participate in a medical program here, there are a variety of health and pampering activities one by one in the place, starting from the spa and reflexology treatments (I did it twice), yoga for the subject including with a chair - even I succeeded, head massage, meditation and of course the pampering pools or even the private pools that exist in some from the villas where they stay.
The vegan breakfast, no eggs! And you don't feel the lack of them, very tasty. In general, there is a special and important emphasis on the food during the stay in the place. There is a vegetarian restaurant and a fish restaurant influenced by the Mediterranean diet, very tasty fresh organic food! You can also visit the organic farm. Just the thought of the food makes my mouth water.
Staying at the place is in villas of different styles and sizes, in some the feeling of being in the jungle that surrounds the place, and in all of them the feeling of a home away from home. The uniqueness of the farm is that the complex of the villas is relatively separate from the rest of the public area.
Besides the spa and the gym that are nearby, you need a morning workout, don't you?
Without a doubt, the Philippines is one of the next health destinations in the world and with a combination of nature trips or island vacations and urban culture.
